This month Blanche Koobs is sharing her items she has collected over the years from France.  Blanche came to the United States after World War II and all of these items came with her.

StoryTime has a new face this year.  Gina Bonk is the new Story Lady for the library.  Story-Time will begin Tuesday, September 8 at 10:00 a.m. Each week will bring a new topic for the children to learn about.  There will be stories, activities, and time to have fun and make new friends.  StoryTime at the library also helps children learn about the library and become comfortable with the staff.  They also grow a love for books and a respect for their care.  We hope to see you at the library!

Toddler Time will resume here at the library on Thursday, September 24 at 10:00 p.m.  Jennifer Freed is coordinating the activities.

As you visit the library you will see an old/new face behind the checkout counter.  Gina Bonk has rejoined the library staff as of September 1.  We welcome Gina back.  Ellie Yoder retired from the staff as of August 15.  She will be missed and we wish her good luck on this next phase of life!!!

Also, please be patient with the staff because we have a new checkout program.  The library moved to Destiny by Follett on August 19 and we are still learning the new system.  This new system will eventually allow our patrons to log on to the system – through the library’s website – and reserve a book, search our catalog, and renew the items if they are available.

If you have not looked at the library’s website, type in  Gina has worked on the website and it looks great.
