FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY

Book Sale – Book Sale – Book Sale!!!

The Friend’s Annual Book Sale and Membership Drive will be April 15, 16 & 17.  Remember to bring your gently used books to the library for this fundraiser.  Keep us in mind as you sort books, clean your homes, or as you finish reading a book you don’t intend to keep.  Reminder – we do not accept text books, Reader’s Digest condensed books, old books, magazines, music, or miscellaneous items.            Please note that this is also the time for you to renew your Friends of the Library membership.  It is $5.00 per person or $10.00 for a family and you will receive a library coffee mug or cut out.  Also, this year when you purchase $15.00 worth of books you will get a library book bag.  There will be coffee, cookies and juice on Thursday and Friday in celebration of National Library Week.

APRIL IS CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION MONTH

Child Abuse Prevention month has been observed each April since 1983.  Since that time, individuals and organizations have joined together during April to raise the public’s awareness of child abuse and the need for its prevention.  As individuals and as a community we must partner to support and encourage parents and families.  Please partner with Grundy County Public Health, Seeds of Hope and Prevent Child Abuse Iowa to promote and support safe, healthy families and help create a community that truly values all children.
