FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY

Book Sale – Book Sale – Book Sale!!!

The Friend’s Annual Book Sale is just around the corner.  Remember to bring your gently used books to the library for this fundraiser the Friends of the Library sponsor.  The book sale will be in April, so keep us in mind as you sort your books, clean your homes, or finishing reading a book.  The Basket Auction raised $840 for the Friends.  Wonderful baskets, Wonderful patrons, Wonderful results.

FAMILIES AND BOOKS

Beginning January 2nd, the library is starting a new winter reading program for

families.  We have named it FAB – Families and Books.  The family will read three chapter books in January, February and March; when you have completed the three books you will receive a chapter book of your choice from the library.  This will be a wonderful way for families to sit down and read a book together.  Please stop in the library and sign up, and start reading right away.  Remember, the books need to be from our library!!!!

TAX FORMS

Income Tax forms are now available in the library.  There are a few ready to be picked up, and we will add more forms as they arrive.  We have both Federal and State forms.

COMPUTER QUESTIONS!!!

Do you have computer questions, are you new to computers, need an e-mail, searching for a new job or general questions  – if any of these affect you come sign up for a session at the library.  We will help you learn to search/surf the web, set-up an e-mail, fill out a job application, and answer general questions about computers.  We are offering one-on-one times and have a sign-up sheet in the library.  Don’t be afraid of these machines – they don’t do anything (usually) until you tell it to!!!!!
