June Newsletter

The Staff, Board of Trustees, Friends of the Library, and the Kling Memorial Library Foundation want to take this time to acknowledge the volunteers who make this library work.  We have had volunteers for a number of years and

without them this library would not be able to be open the amount of hours we are.  Our volunteers shelf books, check books in and out, straighten the shelves, make sure the books are in alphabetical order, water our plants, help with our programming, etc.  Our hats off to our volunteers – Betty Wolthoff, Kay Graham, Dee Aldrich, Pat Hauser, Annie Grimm, Cindy Hilsabeck, Judy Martens, and Sara Miller.

The theme for the 2010 summer reading program is “Make a Splash – Read”.  We began signing up for the program May 17 and reading begins June 7.  We have 5 programs for the children including Mike Prestby, magician, June 9; Grundy County Conservation, June 16; Rick Eugene – Balloons, June 23; Blank Park Zoo, June 29; and the Imaginarium, July 14.  Be sure to check the information you received when you signed up for times and activities.

REMEMBER -  The books you read need to come from our library!!!  Everyone have fun!
