What Can Your Quilt Tell Us?

Bring your quilt(s) to share what you know about it and learn something you do not know about it. Every quilt in any condition, vintage or contemporary, large or small, utilitarian or heirloom has a unique story to tell. Professional quilt appraiser, Valorie Bonk will enjoy looking at and talking about your quilt with you. She may be able to offer clues about its age, fabrics that were used in its construction, the names of the blocks or the setting of the design, the techniques that were used to assemble and quilt it, and general historical information about the era in which it was made. Other participants in the session may also have pertinent information to offer. Community members whom are interested may come and go as their schedule permits, or plan to spend the whole time absorbing as much information and looking at as many quilts as possible.
