Adventure Pass on Pause Starting December 31, 2024

Due to losing our reservation software vendor, the Iowa Libraries Adventure Pass will be put on pause starting December 31st.
The calendar is still open for new reservations thru December 31st. Reservations that were previously made for dates past December 31st
will still be honored. However, new reservations are not being taken for dates after December 31st.

Be sure you have Printed Out any already-booked pass, as access to the booking system will be blocked for both patrons and library staff by Dec 31.  

We know you all love the Adventure Pass, and we are working on finding a new reservation software to get it back up and running as soon as we can.

This will affect all libraries that participate in the Adventure Pass program.

Check Out an Adventure Pass

Unlock a world of adventure with free passes to your favorite Iowa attractions all with your Kling Memorial Library card. Adventure Passes are currently available for reservation to the Blank Park Zoo, Reiman Gardens, and the Science Center of Iowa. When you reserve an Adventure Pass with your library card, you book yourself and your family and friends a full day of fun!  Each pass allows entrance for up to two adults and two children. Additional tickets for more members of your party may be purchased at the venue's gate.

If you wish to cancel your reservation, please call 319-825-3607. You must cancel by 10 AM of the day of your reservation. Failure to do so would prevent you from reserving that venue at a later date.

How It Works

  • Check open dates/times of the attraction before reserving the date you want
  • Reserve your pass using your Kling Memorial Library card
    • Cardholders must be:
      • 18 years or older
      • Reside at a Grundy Center or Holland address
      • Your library card must be active & in good standing
    • Each cardholder may reserve a pass to each venue once every 365 days.
    • Each cardholder can only reserve a maximum of two passes for a particular day
  • Print your pass (A digital copy presented on a phone or other digital device will not be accepted)
    • Each pass is a one-day pass, good only for the day for which it is reserved.
    • Each pass allows:
      • Admission for up to four (4) people, including up to two (2) adults and two (2) children.
  • Visit the attraction
    • To gain admission, cardholder must present:
      • A valid photo ID, which must match the name on the pass
      • Printed pass
